The Passion of The Christ is a 2004 Oscar nominated film that tells the story of the death of Jesus Christ, from the Garden of Gethsamane, to his resurrection. The film was highly contreversial because of its violent content, and accusations of anti-Semitism. The budget for the film was $30 million, but it became a huge box office hit, making of $600 million dollars world wide. It became the most successful biblical related film since Ben-Hur(1959).
